Notes: 13 weeks ACLS, BCLS, NRP, PALS, STABLE- optional Must be a licensed RN in the state of Texas. Qualified candidate must have 2 year of NICU experience in an acute care facility. Candidates must be well organized with excellent time management skills and critical thinking skills. Good Shepherd Medical Center is a full service, acute-care 425-bed regional referral center, delivering more than 2,600 babies a year, Good Shepherd is home to the region’s first Level IIIa (3a) Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. We operate 31 beds, NICU and NIMC combined. We accept babies born as early as 24 weeks gestation, and full-term babies with special needs. We accept high-risk obstetrical patients and newborns from throughout the East Texas region. We are only looking at nurses with NICU experience The unit is: • Level 3 A NICU • 31 beds – 13 NICU & 18 Step Down • We take all gestations, we have high frequency ventilators, Nitric. We do not do surgery. • Staff 1:2 in NICU; 1:3-4 in NIMC (based on acuity in both areas). • Night position • Need NRP and CPR; STABLE optional.
